NAME OF ORGANIZATION: STICHING VISION FOR CHILDREN (hereafter referred to as SVC)
DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUNG OF ORGANIZATION:
SVC is a charity organization which assist orphaned children in Ghana, firstly established by Mrs. Theresa Ackom in March 2010 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is solely and absolutely a non-profit making and non-denominational organization which work in the favor of children orphaned in like and spread over the entire land of Ghana. Our source of income will be purely individual donation, organization and donations, fundraising event and of course the sale of paraphernalia or affiliated items that belongs to the orphanage.
OBJECTIVE AND AIMS:
The primary objective of Foundation is to give support to orphaned children in Ghana through the orphanage known as “SVC”. The orphanage strives to promote the health, spiritual and physical well-being of the orphaned children from the townships of regions of Ghana. The Foundation also intends to assist in the education of those children, and investigate ways for the orphanage to develop self-sustainability.
A fundamental principle of the orphanage is to ensure that the children being assisted are not “institutionalised” in the process, but that they remain closely bonded to their care-takers and legal guardians. Thus, the children will live at the orphanage site only during the school week and return home to their guardians (that is if there is any) on weekends and during school holidays. The orphanage will provide a good diet, regular medical check-ups, and opportunities for the children to attend school regularly and to learn life skills for their future.
